Saving Money at Disney World
Saving some cash when visiting to DisneyWorld probably seems to be a contradiction in terms, but with a little planning and preparation, visitors can have an enjoyable trip to Florida without running up a huge bill.
The Walt Disney World Resort is definitely huge, with an area of almost 46 square miles near Orlando, Florida. There are four major theme parks, Epcot, MGM, the Animal Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom. With so much to see, tourists almost always spend at least a week just to take it all in. Disney has built more than 14 hotels just to house visitors to the parks.
Fortunately, Disney executives recognize that people are looking for different things when visiting the area. Because of this, they have resorts that fit everyone’s budget. Resorts are separated into Value, Moderate, and Deluxe levels. Value is sort of the Disney way of saying less expensive, but visitors won’t be disappointed, as the Disney Value resorts are nice and comfortable. Moderate resorts are definitely nicer, promising slightly larger living areas and full service dining on site.
Deluxe resorts at Disney World are top-of-the-line accommodations designed to please and pamper any guest. Many of the resorts such as the Contemporary Resort and Yacht Club are on the monorail, so guests can easily ride to the Magic Kingdom without having a car or riding a bus. Rooms are much bigger, and the Disney environment is of course magical.
How should you go about picking a Disney Hotel? Well would you rather use your hard earned cash on souvenirs or indulge yourself with the best, after all you are on holiday? Value rooms like the Pop Century Hotel can cost anywhere from $65 to $130 a night, while top end Resorts start from $225 and go up from there. As you can tell, if you multiply that by 7 to 9 days, you would end up spending thousands extra just for a nicer room.
The option is yours, but no matter what you pick, you will be sure Disney World cast members will do their best to make sure you and your family have a great time on your trip away from home.
